Started maternity leave - now bored

I started maternity leave 2 days ago and I'm bored already Hmm
I'm 38 weeks today, had a sweep on Wednesday which I knew wouldn't work anyway..
But I find that when I'm home and not working, I have very little motivation to get up and do anything.
So what has everyone else been doing while waiting for baby to arrive?

Do you have a hobby that you can do from home? Sewing/knitting/crafts? Etc

I've stared mine and now really impatient for baby. Have filled my time with coffees with friends, haircut, some swimming and some gentle walking. Better than work, that's for sure!

Quite jealous you got a sweep at 38W, can't get one til 40W here!!

I started mat leave this week too. I was bored the first couple of days but did a little to do list for jobs round the house and have been just chipping away at that. The dog has never been walked so much I think she wishes I was back at work lol!
Also Line of Duty on Netflix is brilliant if you haven't watched it! 5 days in and i no longer miss work Grin

Enjoy it! You will not be bored for long Grin

Today is my last day at work before maternity leave, I'm planning on doing some batch cooking to freeze some easy meals for after the baby arrives, plus might go out for a haircut, walks, cinema etc.
Other than that I'm planning on chilling out with a good book (or several depending on when the baby arrives!).

Enjoy the calm before the storm! Seriously the few days/ weeks of Mat leave before baby arrives are blissful - last chance to totally relax / rest and pamper yourself whilst also getting really excited about the new phase of life that awaits Smile

I started two weeks ago and I feel the exact same way!
I'm planning to do batch cooking closer to my due date (I'm only 34 weeks) and setting up bedding/rearranging where necessary to make my room safe for baby.
So far I've organised all of the baby clothes, I had lots of clothes that needed washing/sorting so I've done that.
But most days I struggle getting out of bed and when I do I then struggle to convince myself I must do the hoovering or the mopping or whatever it is I need to do. I've caught up on a lot of Netflix series I wanted to watch and have a few more that I'm planning on watching. I've also practiced different make up looks and how to do it all quickly because I know that my mental health is going to make me feel a thousand times uglier once baby is here and I won't go out without make up on when I feel like that.
I'm also struggling to walk but if you can going shopping has helped me, I had a good day earlier this week and managed to get to the shops (spent far more than I should have) but places like the works have lots of good deals on for baby things right now so worth looking at all that.
