@WheresAllTheGoodInTheWorld are you having another test? Usually they test you 48 hours later to ensure they are doubling so you can assess then and ask.

I read that the numbers to make much of a difference, as long as they progress. Some women have naturally low levels starting in the hundreds verses some that quickly shoot up to the thousands. Its no indicator how far along you are. More accurate for scans. But they check bloods to make sure its going up.

Mine was only 290 at 5 weeks. By 6 I think it was 7000, and then 2 weeks later it was 31,000.

Darkstar4855 · 01/06/2019 12:38

There’s no set level as it can vary a huge amount between women. Mine was 28,800 at 5+4 and 46,600 at 5+6.

Mine was 2770 at around 5.5 weeks m - up from 129 at Beta testing (4.5 weeks) As long as its almost doubling the initial number doesn't matter!

nespressowoo · 01/06/2019 18:12

Had mine done yesterday. Nearly 7000, going again tomorrow to have them repeated. I am praying they double

Aberforthsgoat · 01/06/2019 18:13

Is this something they do in the uk? I don’t think I’ve ever known mine...

Teddybear45 · 01/06/2019 18:17

I never had mine tested not even at the fertility clinic.

nespressowoo · 01/06/2019 18:44

Had mine tested due to spotting

Newbie21 · 01/06/2019 19:28

@Aberforthsgoat it's only if you are concerned due to spotting or pains which could suggest something might not be quite right or if you have a history of MCs. You can obviously also pay privately for it.
