I'm 40+2 and thinking of using this in the hope it might hurry my baby up. Just wondering if anyone has any experience using this?

It hasn't made any difference to me and I think it smells awful 😂 but I'm still using it every day just in case because I've bought it now... I read studies that showed it made a slight difference once subjects were already in labour, but that's not really what we're looking for is it?

I've also eaten a whole pineapple a day for a week and no luck (although I do reek smell pleasantly of pineapples 🍍)

Her0utdoors · 14/05/2019 17:33

Ooh, no, leave the pineapples alone. Giving yourself the shits will not give you or the baby trying to get out a better time.

Sniffing clary sage always gave me braxton hicks - spilling Jasmin oil all over my bump seemed to do the trick, but it could have been coincidence.

Haha I've been having them in smoothies so no intestinal issues! That's what DH said too 😂 I think he was worried I'd explode

It abso stinks!!! I agree, I don't think any of these things unless baby is ready to come out but I was hoping there might be some success stories out there as I really dont want induced

Sorry I couldn't be more useful, I've been looking too, but for every person who has something work for them, there's another who said it didn't 🤷🏼‍♀️ fingers crossed for you!

@cheesepuffthemagicdragon I had my 40 week appt with the midwife today who's booked me in for the aromatherapy massage on Friday and a sweep 🤞 she did say not to use the clary sage no where near my bump, only on feet, shoulders and in bath. Hopefully something happens soon for us

I used it two nights in a row, rubbed onto my feet and went into labour the next day. Probably a coincidence 😂

@Firsttimeuser12 sorry I missed your post! How's it going? I'm 41 weeks today and still no baby 🙄
