MY BUM CRACKS BLEEDING!? [PICTURE ATTACHED]

Hi all! This is by far the most embarrassing post I’ve put up but I’ve gotta check if it’s normal!!
I’m 31 weeks pregnant with baby number 4.
Everytime I’ve gone to the toilet today I’ve noticed small spots of blood on the toilet paper. To start with I thought maybe haemorrhoids? But I had no pain so I just looked in the mirror to see where the bleedings come from and it’s my bum crack!?
I’ve got a thick purple line going up it and it’s slightly torn!!
Could it be a stretch mark that’s stretching too fast?
I’ve attatched a censored picture. Apologies if it’s abit TMI but I’m desperate to know what’s going on with my behind!!

Ouch, that looks sore. TBH, I’d just pop to the GP in the morning, it might need ointment/cream or even a dressing to cover the open wound and prevent infection as it is so close to your back passage.

I'm not medically qualified but I would get that checked out asap.

Msgiggles30 · 12/05/2019 22:21

Ive had this before and it was a fungal thing 🙈 i suffer with intertrigo under my breasts and it was a similar thing in bum crack due to warm folds of skin and moisture. I was given timodine! May not be the same thing but is a possibility

Bambamber · 12/05/2019 22:21

I've had this before when not pregnant. For me I just had dry sensitive skin and when I sat down my cheeks must have parted and the skin split (sorry TMI). It healed well by just keeping it clean and dry and using bath salts in my bath.

Hi google the purple line I think it can mean you are dialated abit I remember having this myself when I was heavily pregnant.

LoafofSellotape · 12/05/2019 22:22

I'd put Sudocrem on it and see what it's like in the morning. GP if worse.

Alabasterangel6 · 12/05/2019 22:22

It’s usually sweat/damp and thin skin. I had this a lot towards the end of my pregnancy with last DC.

I used a mild medicated powder (cuticura) and within 24-36 hours it healed. Keep using the talc though it keeps things dry.

AntiHop · 12/05/2019 22:26

My guess is fungal too. I had intertrigo at the top of my thighs when pregnant. But would that really make spots of blood?

Mrsmch123 · 12/05/2019 23:04

It looks like a moisture lesion. Some conotrane will sort it in a day or two.

Cloudsandcandles · 12/05/2019 23:06

I agree this is a moisture lesion (healthcare person here whose job is to spot these on patients!) keep it clean and dry and apply a THIN coating of sudocrem over the top. You might find you need to clean and dry it several times a day before it heals. Hope it’s better soon!

ChesterDrawsDoesntExist · 12/05/2019 23:12

I occasionally get that particularly now I have put on weight. I just keep it clean and put antiseptic ointment cream on it like sudocrem or germolene and it heals up really quickly.
