Reduced baby movements

I'm 26 weeks and on Wednesday I felt baby move while I was in bed in the morning, by the time I had been to work and finished my shift at 9pm I hadn't felt him all day, didn't tell DP but he knew something was up. Ended up telling my mum who took me to the maternity ward to get checked out, Doppler on and baby was fine 140 heartbeat.
Nurse said he's lying transverse, but surely wouldn't I still be able to feel him move around? Now I'm scared if this happens again and freaks me out! Anyone else experienced this before? I'll be in my third trimester next week x

I think its normal not to feel them all the time at 26 weeks, my baby was very lazy and I often worried about him not moving but he was fine, some babies don't move as much as others. However if you are EVER worried, always go and get checked just incase, its always better to be safe. Good luck!

Well done for getting checked and remember you can go as often as you feel you need to. I found I wasn't familiar with my baby until 28-30 weeks she didn't have a pattern or move a certain number of movements. She seems to have a couple of wiggly days and then a really still quiet day where nothing gets her moving (drinks, food, bath, poking) and scares the life out of me. Then she starts going mad again it's crazy. I did go in on Tuesday though just for reassurance I'm currently 38+4 and shes still puzzling me! Get checked as many times as you need to the midwives really don't mind x

Thanks girls! Yeah I felt like I was over worrying but I know it's always best to get checked out rather than wait. Luckily I can feel him lots more now, maybe he was just in a funny position? X

Sometimes you just need to get checked to settle your own anxiety too. They're little monkeys!! X

I'm also 26 weeks, last appointment the midwife said that each baby has their own pattern of movement, and for some that includes periods of no movement within a day.

Always get checked if you're worried.

The midwife also said never to worry about 'overreacting' that the midwives at your hospital would rather you check than stew in worry.

Well done for getting checked, glad all is on track Thanks

@Fuppy congrats to you too!
Yeah I haven't had any of my appointments yet with midwife since the 16 week check up (she messed all my apps up so I'll be 27 weeks once they start measuring bump) so I haven't been able to feel him that whole back.
Nurse said the same about their little patterns. Right now I'm on the bus to work and he's kicking strong😊 little tinker!
When are you due? I'm August 8th
