So a have used a few online calculators. If I date my pregnancy from LMP my date is 3rd Jan but from when I ovulated the 31st Dec. I always ovulate on day 10/11 so a little earlier than the expected 14 days. Does anyone know which I should use? I know it's not a massive difference, it's just I will be having a planned c section with this one so the difference is having the baby just before or just after Christmas and I'm just curious :)

Congratulations!

They will go from LMP initially until the 12(ish) week dating scan proves otherwise and then that will be your official date till the end. Supposedly the date from the scan is the most accurate way of dating the pregnancy.

If you're last period was 31 dec then you must have had your dating scan by now? The date they give you then is the one you should use

Sorry I wasn't clear, I meant if they go from when I last ovulated my due date would be 31st Dec 2019 :)

They'll go from the 12 week scan regardless of how sure you are when you conceived.

Oh 😂 gotcha!!

Agree with PP. don't worry too much. It'll all become clear at your 12 week dating scan

If you date from ovulation, just add on 38 weeks. If you ovulate early in your cycle this will likely give you a more accurate date, but dates are all just estimates anyway

I was the opposite and ovulated 3 days later on CD17 but they still went from my LMP until my 12 week scan
