Bleeding and slow growth in first trimester

Hi all,

I never post on forums but I thought I would give it s go.

I had a positive pregnancy test on 25th Feb this year and this is my first pregnancy. A day before my nuchal scan, I started to bleed like a normal period and freaked.

To cut a long story short, I have now been bleeding for two weeks. Not enough to soak a pad and i would describe it as feeling like a period but minus cramping.

I've had 2 internal scans which show a yolk sack and tiny embryo which looks approx 5 weeks old even though my positive test was 8 weeks ago at this point. I had the second scan 8 days after the first and instead of seeing 8 days growth, my baby had only grown 2 days worth according to their chart.

I have been told to expect a miscarriage and I'm desperately trying to cling onto some hope. My next scan is tomorrow.

Anyone been through similar? How did it turn out for you?

Is there a heartbeat?

It was apparently too small to tell during the last scan. I am hoping they will see one tomorrow or it will have grown enough to have one.

Honestly? It really does sound like a miscarriage Flowers I’ve not heard of a pregnancy being 3 weeks out, plus bleeding, and slow growth. Look after yourself xx

TwinkleStars15, unfortunately you were right and I have been diagnosed with a delayed miscarriage.

Sorry to hear that, I’ve been there and it’s tough x
