Could I be pregnant?

Hi everyone I'm just looking for advice on something. It's a bit long but here goes. Ok so I took the morning after pill on February 8th and I got my period the 1st week of March which lasted about a week. Then about 2 or 3 days after it finished myself and my partner had sex and didn't use anything. It's now been the first week of April and I still didn't get my period. I've been feeling sick up and down but I couldn't be getting symptoms already could I? Would my period just be all over the place from the morning after pill and maybe it's late or could I be pregnant? I should probably know myself but I'm all over the place at the moment. Thanks!

If you've missed your period (or it hasn't happened when it usually does) you could have symptoms if you were actually pregnant.

The only way you'll know for sure is if you take a test x

If you’ve had sex you could be pregnant.

Take a test.

I need help too please..I took a test that came out negative but the doctor said it might be to early for a positive and to come back in a week but it's a hard topic to not try to figure out before the next test. I wake up with pretty bad lower back pain, I have an off and on tightening or pulling sensation in my lower abdomen (slightly similar to period cramps, but also quite different. It's not really a cramping it's more of a tightening or pulling from each side and just stays like that for a while), I've been feeling very anxiety like, and this morning I woke up and my breasts feel sore but more like a 'I just did 20 pull ups' kind of sore, if I poke the pectoral area it feels exactly like a really sore muscle, and I feel like I get really bad hot flashes. Does this sound like pregnancy? Has anyone else went through this? I'm only about two days late for my period. Thank you for any help or info you may have. 😊

@Charlee90 - which test did you use? I had breast pain with both of my pregnancies and can understand what you're describing. Like an ache? X

Charlee90 · 06/04/2019 22:51

Yakadee yes it's like an ache. And it goes slightly into my armpit. I had a test done at a pregnancy clinic so I'm not sure the name of the test but the lady doing it looked at the dates of ovulation and etc etc and she said it is very possible it could be a negative just because it's to early and my body hasnt produced enough hcg. She said I could have ovulated late and then theres a five day window or something so it might just not be showing a positive yet.

Yakadee · 07/04/2019 04:08

@Charlee90 - guess all you can do is wait and test again. I've always found frers to be really accurate. Good luck x

I'm 10 days late, last two nights have had to be sick in the night.

Tonight after being sick I got a glass of water and it tastes like sugarEnvy I'm baffled by how sugary the water tastes. I ruled out being pregnant but now I'm not so sure!

Anyone had similar symptoms of taste changing?

Corrina19955 · 07/04/2019 06:10

Don't suppose anyone could give me abit of advice could they HPT positive last cycle was 2nd March which would make me 5w1d. Today but I did a clear blue 4 days ago and it said 3+ which would make me 5+ weeks baffled also don't have any symptoms apart from feeling sick and lower back pain. I had a missed misscarage in November at 9w2d my baby's heart stopped and don't want to go though that again but that time I had all the symptoms??

Rememberallball · 07/04/2019 07:52

@Corrina19955, if a test says 3+ then that is 3 weeks since expected ovulation/conception based on an average 28 day cycle and 5+1 falls into the correct weeks. The test works on detecting levels of hCG within a range to predict the number of weeks and everyone’s rises at different rates so some people will be ahead and others will be behind based on their dates. Things will likely even out once you have your 12 week (dating) scan!!

Rememberallball · 07/04/2019 07:55

@Shortandsweet96, if you are 10 days late then it really should be showing up on a pregnancy test so probably time to do a test. Alternatively, given you’ve been sick a couple of times before drinking the water, it could just be one of the vomity viruses that are doing the rounds at the moment and could be messing with your taste buds!!

Rememberallball · 07/04/2019 08:00

@Charlee90, when was your period due? It is possible to get some aches and pains in the run up to expected period when you conceive and, if your period isn’t due, then a test could well be negative. However, if your period is overdue, it would usually show up on most pregnancy tests including those used in GP surgeries and health clinic/A&E.

While it’s frustrating, the only thing to do in this situation, is to wait a few more days and test again.

Corrina19955 · 07/04/2019 09:23

THank you was just confused as also haven't got sore boobs or anything ?? I have currently had 8 miscarriages so just nurveouse. Hopping this 1 goes right

Shortandsweet96 · 07/04/2019 17:02
