Does this look positive?? Took a Tesco one & saw a line which then faded.. then took a clear blue digital & it says not pregnant :/

I can definitely see a faint line! It is thin though and I know blue dye tests are notorious for evap lines. I can't recommend First Response tests enough. The Clearblue digital tests are less sensitive than a lot of other tests and so a lot of people have to be further along before they show a positive.

I'd test again with a First Response or pink dye test. Superdrug cheapie tests are good too!

Okay, thank you. I will buy a pink dye test & try again :)
It just puzzled me cause I thought evap lines develop gradually, whereas this line showed up pretty much straight away :o

If it showed up straight away it's likely a positive! Fingers crossed for you!

:) thank you! Smile

When is your period due? ClearBlue digital tests really should have a warning in flashing Neón telling users that they are really not sensitive at all and don’t tend to pick up hormones if your period isn’t already late!!

I would wait a couple of days and then test again with a pink dye test that has good sensitivity (like FRER which is 10mIU/ml)

1995xoxo · 03/04/2019 18:26

I have no idea to be honest. I think I have missed my period. My last one started on the 27th January & ended on 9th feb!! Haven't had one since! But I started on Cerazette in January so that might have stopped my periods. I'm not ttc but I do have pregnancy symptoms & obviously with not knowing what's going on with my period I decided to take a test & got a thin but faint line :/

I would defo suggest trying again in a few days, and defo try the pink dye early response tests, and make sure u test with ur first pee of the day! Good luck!

Rememberallball · 04/04/2019 11:48

If you started cerazette in January is it possible the symptoms you’re experiencing are as a result of the pill?

Teddybear45 · 04/04/2019 13:04

Clearblue aren’t that sensitive. Suggest FRER

HeyJude81 · 04/04/2019 13:06

Looks exactly the same as my Tesco one the other day. I did a clearblue the day after and it confirmed I was 1-2 weeks pregnant x

1995xoxo · 04/04/2019 13:28

I guess my symptoms could be due to the pill, but surely that wouldn't explain the faint line?

& aww wow congrats!! I did take a clear blue digital this morning & it said negative. I am planning on buying a first response or maybe even a Superdrug's own brand cause I've read that they're super sensitive x

Good luck :) I just used the cheap ones from eBay.. 5 for £1.50 worked for both pregnancys

Rememberallball · 04/04/2019 23:20

@1995xoxo, it would explain the faint line if it was an evaporation line. Tests usually say leave for xx minutes then read; discard after xx time - this is so the test can fully develop and the be read but after the maximum time it should be disregarded. Also, sometimes, faint lines that look narrow as well are more likely to be evap lines.

PhoebeBear · 05/04/2019 00:00

I can see a faint line there OP!
I took a test which a very faint line came up and another at doctors which came back negative.. it was because i was so so early just conceived. Wait a little longer, maybe 2 3 days and try a clear blue one again x

1995xoxo · 05/04/2019 18:36

Okay so here's an update. I've uploaded a pic of the 4 Tesco tests I've taken so far. The top one was the first one I took the day before yesterday, the second I took yesterday morning, & the third & fourth I took earlier on today. The first two, the lines appeared within the timeframe. Within a min I could see a cross even though the line is thin & very faint, although it is still blue in colour. The 2 I took today took a little longer, which made me think that maybe they are evap lines. I'm just not sure anymore. Cause my thoughts are surely if it was a positive the lines would be thicker & darker today than the first 2 I took! Confused this is driving me crazy!
