Heart murmur caused by pregnancy

Has anyone had a heart murmur caused by their pregnancy? What symptoms did you get? Did you need to take anything or change the way you did something? Did it go away? Just been diagnosed with one and waiting on an echo appt. So far have had some dizzy moments and heart palpitations when doing small things like going up the stairs.

Hello, in my first pregnancy I had palpitations and went to the cardiologist and had a 24 hour monitor. Ultimately they said I had a heart murmur which I’d probably had all my life but the increased blood flow with the pregnancy had shown it up.

@FinallyGotAnIPhone I'm guessing it's not caused many problems if you didn't know it was there. I've heard it can just be caused by the increased blood flow and that it's common. Just not heard about it before.

No - touch wood. I’m now expecting my third child. The palpitations went away after the first trimester in the first and second pregnancies and in this one I haven’t had them. I have never been dizzy or anything - just palpitations during pregnancies. I did experience palpitations for a time when I wasn’t pregnant once and went back to the cardiologist. I was hooked up to a monitor for a week and they did detect some irregularities but ultimately couldn’t determine the root cause.
