I had a membrane sweep at 12pm today and have started to get mild cramps in my lower abdomen.
Midwife said I was 2cm dilated when she did the sweep and was able to feel the baby’s head. I’m 39+1 with baby no.3. Previous labours started naturally at 39+6 and 39+5 so I’ve never had a sweep before. Both labours were quick (5 hours and 3 hours)
Could the cramping be a sign that labour is starting or am I getting my hopes up?
Any previous experience to be shared would be appreciated 😊
