Is it normal to be this tired?

Now I know tiredness/fatigue is common in early pregnancy and I used to love a nap pre pregnancy but I feel like it might be a bit extreme now? I've had today & yesterday off work (I work shifts) and yesterday I spent the full 24 hours in bed, I've not moved today either except to eat. I have 0 energy or will to move. It's not so much tiredness as I'm not actually sleeping I just have 0 energy and can't bring myself to get up and do anything. It's a problem getting up for work too, my alarm goes off and I just lie in bed for a good 90 minutes trying to find the energy to actually get up. Is this normal level of pregnancy tiredness? I'm 12+2 if that matters

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

I was the same, when my ultrasound showed twins my Doctor said “aha, that’s it” or words to that effect, it was a long time ago.

Have you been checked for anaemia?

hannah9176 · 22/03/2019 14:14

@AdoraBell ok good to know it's normal! There's just the one in there but it did look like it was having a little rave/running a marathon when I had my scan on Wednesday so maybe it's just sucking all the energy out of me. As long as it's normal to feel like this!

@Haz1516 I had my normal bloods done at 8 weeks so assumed they would have checked then? Not convinced they were great though as there was an unnecessary amount of confusion over a name change & address change from 2 months ago 🙈 I will mention it at my next appointment or if it's no better I might see if I can get checked out sooner!

I was a hot mess around that time - slept so much and so much abdominal pain felt like I had been doing crunches for ages! And the constant nausea! Cleared up around 16-17 weeks and I felt human again until
Third trimester 😂 totally normal! Never slept so much in my life. Baby arrived 2 weeks ago and it’s like I’m still in third trimester ie sleeping when baby is sleeping!

I was sleeping 12-13 hours a night with a 2-3 hour nap in the day. I was absolutely exhausted and still am!
So.... I hope it’s normal 😂
