Went to the doctors and got told I was pregnant, roughly 2 weeks maybe?? The test and everything came back positive, I have pelvic cramps and feel very nauseous.. sometimes my stomach will hurt here and there and the cramps become a little bad but no bleeding. They did an ultrasound both internal and out and couldn't find anything.. should I be worried? My hcg levels were 235. Just looking for the truth! Having my blood tested again to see if the numbers double but just curious.

@spugzbunny I agree, USA has horrible hospitals that just love to rack up the price! I'm fortunate enough to live in New York but I unfortunately pay 700 for health insurance and it doesn't cover much. Cost 38,000 to even have a baby and that's without complications.

@Nowthenforever2019 i understand that pregnancy causes cramps in my hips and lower belly but these are agony sharp pains that cause me to puke in agony or cry.. I can't just read a book and not feel the throbbing pain that is all day.

Told the doctor but they didn't seem to help either, America healthcare is preaching your problems and it going in their ear and out the other and charging you 10,000 for the visit. Sad times.

Have you taken any pain medication?

Iona02aug · 22/03/2019 19:04

I am also 5weeks and having very similar pains but mostly through the night. I was in tears and sweating buckets last night. I took paracetamol and a hot water bottle which eventually eased it but it is very worrying I agree!

I phoned the midwife and she said was definitely constipation so I'm thinking as long as theres no blood I'm good 🤗

AmCanales · 22/03/2019 20:33

@Iona02aug hopefully it's nothing serious! I haven't bled either so I'm trying to keep my head up. Were you able to see anything on your ultrasound or have you not had one yet since you're only 5 weeks?

I went to get my blood tested today but they said it was too soon and to come back on Monday. I am still hoping my levels double and everything is okay.

@Amcanales no no ultrasound for another 8weeks and my first midwife appointments to get bloods etc done isn't for another couple weeks but I had a successfull night of sleep with no cramps last night 🥳

I've had early pregnancies 3 times (once at 2/3 weeks, and the others at 6/7 weeks) because I'm at an increased risk of ectopic pregnancy and had pain the first 2 times.
I have also had a miscarriage at 4/5 weeks (where I was still coming up as pregnant on tests even though baby was gone). My 3 scans did not reassure me, in fact I was not reassured at all actually until baby was in my arms (and then the cot death fear started!). I am pregnant now and will be worried until baby is born. Although I don't think the worry of something happening to them ever goes.

@Iona02aug I'm glad to hear that!! I'm still having cramps but it's after I eat, I think I have bad digestion or something.

I don't feel nauseous anymore, just really tired.. not as emotional. I'm worried I'm losing my pregnancy symptoms? Maybe I just worry too much but before I'd cry over a piece of pizza being too hot and now I'm just numb. Idk how to take that in, worrying.

I took gas x and the pains seemed to go away, only comes back when I eat.. so I don't think it's like miscarriage pains. So I think I'm good? I haven't felt nauseous lately just extremely tired like wake up and already want to sleep again. I'm getting my blood work done today again for my hcg levels
