Cervix shortening/funneling

Hello,

Those of you who have sadly experience cervix funnelling, do any of you know how quickly this can happen? Ie the length of time your cervix went from normal to shortened?

At my 12 week scan my cervix length was 6cm which is actually very long but after 2 big LLETZ treatments and advice from my gynaecologist to have a cerclage put in regardless of cervix length, I am wondering how long it's ok to wait before having it rescanned?

Have an appointment on NHS in 2 weeks so the gap between the 2 scans will be 3 weeks and just wondering if the cervix can shorten that quickly or whether I can relax until the next scan!

Conflicting info with my midwife and gynaecologist is worrying me! Was told that the NHS would just want to keep an eye on it and I should insist on cerclage regardless in early 2nd trimester (currently 13 weeks) but as it was long in my 12 week scan I am hoping to just be monitored!

Any ideas please let me know :)
