Band 5 nurse maternity pay

Hey all! My first baby is due June 2019 and I have very nervous/excited about the entire concept of being a mum! To top it off, of course, money worries. I am just wondering if anyone out there is a band 5 nurse and would mind telling me what they were paid while off on mat leave? I've applied to have it spread it evenly over 9 months. Thanks for any help ☺

If you speak to your payroll dept they should give you a breakdown of what you will get

It will depend on which pay point your on and also any enhancments you earn ( nights/ weekend pay etc) if you ring pay roll they should be able to calculate it for you.

It'll vary quite a bit depending on where in the band you are and if you get unsociable hours. Payroll in my trust wouldn't tell me what I was getting until the month I was starting ML, and I didn't get it in writing until I was already off.

I work 37.5 hours and do quite a bit of unsocial! I know it's so frustrating, be good to have a plan of pay so I can budget as I am the main breadwinner in the house

Hello! I’m at the top end band 5 and did a few weekends during the 15-25 week mark when the pay is calculated. I’m taking equal payments over 52 weeks and works out as 290 a week before tax/pension contribution.
Hope that helps! I also didn’t get anything confirmed from payroll until I was off. X
