Hi. I’m 39+4 today. I had a big bloody show yesterday so I’ve been excited/anxious that something could be happening soon. I went for my routine midwife appointment today and I have high blood pressure (158/88) previous readings from other weeks have been around 112/65, and a high level of protein in my urine. I’ve been sent straight to the pregnancy assessment unit at the hospital. It’s so busy here and I’ve been told I’ll be waiting a while to be seen. My midwife at the appointment said I could either be sent home if they’re happy with everything, but there’s a possibility they might induce me if they’re not entirely happy especially with me being so close to my due date. I’ve got my hospital bag in the boot of my car just in case. I’m on my own and feeling pretty scared right now because my fiancé is 2.5 hours away from hospital at work so it’s gonna be a while before he gets to me. What have people’s experiences been of this in the past, are they likely to induce me today?!
