FTM! Being induced today, nervous!!!

Hi ladies,

So I'm a first time mummy so haven't a clue what to expect from today.... We are booked in to be induced as my boy has become lazy as of late, so they said it's best to get things going as I'm 40 + 2 so they are comfortable with the idea....

Cannot describe how nervous I feel but obviously so excited at the same time!!! They've told me that I will be having the 'Balloon' induction which is a new method of inducing woman, it stays in place for 12 hours, and then going on to the drip... Which I've heard is brutal as your contractions come so fast and strong... 😬

Not really sure why I'm posting, I guess it's just to see if anyone has any good advice to help me get through this.... 😂🤰🏻

Good luck you will be fine - I have had three inductions & all positive. Try and focus on the end result and every contraction bringing you closer to that. The drop etc does speed things up but again just see that as seeing baby quicker. Use the gap in between contractions and in the first part with the balloon move around a lot, use the stairs and birth ball etc -
