How far gone am I ?? Impatient mummy !

Hi all so i had my last period on 15th Dec 2018 and have been getting bfn up until 3days ago when I finally got my positive result ! I have very long cycles normally around 42days a time so according to my period tracker I am 45days late ! Although very excited and happy to be pregnant when I had lost any hope and beginning to worry I am very confused as to what could have caused this and how far gone could I be ? I haven’t been on contraception for years so that is ruled out of complicating things and only started getting symptoms a few days ago which pushed me to test again.. I already have a little girl who is 3 so isn’t the first pregnancy! Thanks guys and btw I am 28years old

How can anyone possibly tell you?

I know it’s ridiculous isn’t it ! I know I may have to wait until my scan I’m booked in for my first midwife appointment on Thursday , just wondering if anybody else knows anyone who has been through a similar thing x

@Laurenem90 they usually date you from the start of your last period, if that helps?

Congrats OP, think you’re going to have to wait until a dating scan to get a clear answer on this one though! Could you book a private early scan to see what you’re measuring so you can get a due date?

Thanks Melissa yes that's the usual case but that would make me just short of 14weeks and I doubt that I am that far gone.. x

Thanks gobletoffire yeah that's the last option I think , I am hoping my midwife may get me booked in for a scan ASAP as if they do go by my LMP than I would be over due my first scan anyhow so fingers crossed x

If you've only just got a bfp and a few symptoms I'd say it's pretty early - maybe 4 weeks or so given you've only just had a bfp?

Yes I feel that I am aswell it’s literally just how long it’s been since my LMP but yes I just need to be patient, main thing is I got my BFP even if it did take 40days to show lol. Thanku x
