Getting induced today live birth thread

Well todays the day im getting induced my last induction was long and painful with drip and just gas and air so I'm kind of panicking.

Thinking of asking for a epidural would you recommend this ? I've had 3 other dcs all gas and air but i want to relax and enjoy this labour.

I've had another sweep at 9 this morning so waiting to see if any of this kicks anything off. I've already lost my plug with my last sweep I'm 2cm dilated and she could feel baby's head cervix is shortening.

I'm not at the stage they can break my waters yet though but they are saying the propress should get us there.

Anybody that is interested in following me to the birth of my little girl are more than welcome.

My 3rd was induced and when it came down to it, things were pretty quick.

I went from niggles, to full blown labour in an instant. It was honestly one minute In was replying to a message and then I couldn't even read my phone as the pains were so intense, contractions were on top of each other and we had to grab a random MW from the corridor. I was 5cm, waters were bulging and baby arrived 20 minutes later.

I'd have a word and explain you are worried DH won't make it back as this is 4th baby!!! I had 23 hours of niggles and a baby within 30 minutes!

Oh and the whole reason for me home induced (I needed to be closely monitored in labour due to GD) was pointless as it was do quick they didn't get to check shit.

Good luck ! I was induced at 40+15, she was super comfy. Water were broken around 1pm, started on the drip around 5pm and she was here by 9pm. I had a mere 20 mins of active labour - so be careful if things start ramping up - get DH back !

Thanks he's going to stay at his dads which is only 10 mins from the hospital i think this is the best thing just in case she decides to come as soon as daddy leaves lol.

Would hate for him to miss the birth anybody else felt super swollen it's horrible lol xxx

Has the baby arrived @VioletGinPlease?

When I was induced with my son, absolutely nothing happened for 24 hours, not even a niggle, then wham! All of a sudden I was in labour, fully dilated and delivered within 40 minutes. DH almost missed it, he arrived at the delivery room door as DS was just emerging into the world.

Hi ladies still contracting getting the propress out soon and then looking at getting taken down and waters broken.

I'm really nervous as i know this is it I've got to get my beautiful baby out and this is where it went wrong last time so I'm now a bit edgy defo think I'm going for epidural did it hurt getting put in xxx

Nervous but excited lol xx

How is everything going OP, any sign of your little one yet?

I was induced with my first, 41+10 and had him at exactly 42 weeks...... He ended up being Emergency section but that's enough of that.

Once they broke my waters for me the contractions were out of this world, they came thick and fast 😂😂😂.....

No still here contractions where ontop of each other at 12 phoned dp back and then they stopped anxiety is through the roof just now I'm so done in xxx

Hope things have progressed op, you must be getting fed up by now! My induction went on for a few days and I was definitely frustrated and so over it by the third day x

Have they mentioned using the drip yet to speed things up? I was in for 4 days when I was induced with DS, pessaries and breaking my waters did nothing, not even one tiny contraction. They put me on the drip at 6pm and I was pushing by midnight! Good luck and hope something is happening!! Xx

If you can, keep moving OP. I found this helped bring on the labour massively after the pessary was put in.

I'm having 4 contractions in a 10 min period cervix fully softened and 3cm dilated just waiting on waters getting broken.

Hopefully finally relax after i get a epidural haha xxx
