I took a first response test 9 days before my period was due because I just felt that I was. I also was going to the loo a million times a day, a few days after this started happening, I had a few days of headaches so I decided to take the test it was positive!!

Blandmum · 09/07/2007 15:50

sore boobs, horrid metallic taste in my mouth

mytwopenceworth · 09/07/2007 15:50

I knew, can't remember any signs. I just felt pregnant. I couldn't stop thinking about pregnancy. My body was telling my mind "oi, we've got a passenger!!" This was way before the throwing up and the sucking dirt!!

meandmyflyingmachine · 09/07/2007 15:52

Got up. Threw up. Was pretty sure then...

ScottishMummy · 09/07/2007 16:04

yes yes yes knew immdeiateley metallic taste in mouth
constant nausea
felt different
stomach upset
fainted
contantly hungry
..and that was all in month 1...had 9months of it

ScottishMummy · 09/07/2007 16:08

oh and funny bleed i thought was erratic period - implantation bleed

wurlywurly · 09/07/2007 16:08

yes both times, with ds1 had lots of sickness and very sore norks. With ds2 I had different symptoms but all at different times, one day I had very sore nork, the next I was very light headed and nearly fell down parents stairs. Wasnt having AF when I got pregnant with either so couldnt use that as indication, but instinctivley knew IYKWIM

weeonion · 09/07/2007 16:10

definitely! y boobs felt heavy, i felt weepy and just had a "feeling". this was 2 weeks before missed period and 3 weeks before pg test.

Treenie · 09/07/2007 16:18

Sorry to highjack - but did anyone get crampy pains in their leg/legs? I know that sounds mad but have other symptoms - very soar lower back and cramps last week (DPO10) and now tingly/soar boobs.
Can think of no other reason why I would have a soar calf muscle on my back leg! Maybe I'm just a freak of nature!
Thanks!

Treenie · 09/07/2007 16:19

Sorry that should read 'back of leg' - not 'back leg' that makes me sound like a bloomin horse! Then I really would be a freak!

Yes, knew within a week. Knackered, and a need to inhale the entire contents of the larder for a week, followed by feeling nauseous ALL THE TIME from week 3 to birth! What a laugh!

Bouquetsofdynomite · 09/07/2007 17:28

Nope but looking back I understand why I had to wee behind a bush while out for a walk the week before I noticed I was late.

GoodGollyMissMolly · 09/07/2007 17:32

I knew, dont know how as it is my first pg, but I just knew.
AF was one day overdue when I tested. Although I do remember thinking my boobs were a bit more sensitive that they usualy were before AF.

ProfYaffle · 09/07/2007 17:41

I knew.

dd1 - suddenly overwhelmed with nausea at work, different to normal nausea, hard to explain.

dd2 - went for a run and just couldn't do it, had zero energy, felt like I was running on empty. I knew something was wrong rather than being certain I was pg. Hoped I was but didn't want to get my hopes up iyswim.

NeverEndingPileOfLaundry · 09/07/2007 17:52

I didn't realise that I was pg until my AF was late, but retrospectively there had been signs:

  1. Backache - thought I had overdone it digging the allotment!!

  2. My hayfever completely disappeared (yay!)

  3. My sore and tender norks which I thought was just part of my usual PMT symptoms got a whole lot worse!

LoveAngel · 09/07/2007 17:59

I did a test when I was a few days late which came back negative but I felt so weird (funny taste in mouth, nauseous, knackered, dizzy) that I just knew I was pregnant. Three days later another test came back positive.

MunchiesMama · 09/07/2007 18:01

I felt a bit off, and then mid-sandwich almost vomited because of a piece of pickle, oh and i couldn't stomach a bacon butty (normally unheard of!). Though within a few days i could eat both again....v strange.

Most of all I just felt different, I was almost too scared to believe as we had been trying for 11 months(I thought it might have been in my head), thankfully not!

Good luck xx

jabuti · 09/07/2007 18:26

yes!!! one day i felt my appetite was slightly bigger than the usual, and i thought 'i wonder...'. then i had horrible faint head for the following days, like when i stood up too quickly. it all happened 5/6 days before i misssed my period. now im 37 weeks [smile)

Chirpygirl · 09/07/2007 18:44

I knew as DH and I were coming back from our honeymoon (yes, really) and this poor businessman swung his bag over his shoulder and the edge very lightly caught my boobs, at which I burst into tears and started shouting at him as it hurt so much.

Then I realised that I had gone off alcohol for the last few days and did a test a few hours later. I was only 1 day late.
