Thursday night I started having quite uncomfortable BH, I didn't think much of it then I woke up 5.30 Friday morning with really painful contractions around every 2 minutes which lasted 3 hours, I didn't go to hospital because my waters hadn't broke nor had I had a bloody show. The cramps stopped at about 8.45 apart from the odd few during the day. Last night it started again, around every 7 minutes but they're so painful like been 6cm painful contractions 😂 anyway that lasted around 3 hours and went away.
They've started again this morning, just not very regular yet. Do I just wait it out ? What point to do I call the hospital for advice

Hi I'm 38+2 and very much the same. I went to be monitored earlier in the week for low movement and baby was fine which is great but the monitor picked up regular contractions. Then it's all stopped, but as from some time in the night it's back with a vengeance and a ton of pressure. I would say it's all normal and our bodies and babies preparing but as with anythingvif you aren't sure I would ring labour and delivery and ask their advice. If the contractions fade away they probably aren't heading anywhere but if they increase and moving / drinking doesn't help them go away then it could be labour.
Good luck

Not all people have a show or their waters go early. For some women, they both go moments before birth!! I wouldn't just be waiting for those signs to tell you when it's time to head in.

Sounds like stop/start labour maybe??
