I’m 34 weeks today, consultant led maternity pathway (nhs uk). For the past few days I have been experiencing lower abdominal pains that I can only deceive as strong painful cramping and occasional sharp pains that radiate around my lower stomach and inside. I saw my care provider for a routine appointment and she said it sounded like Braxton Hicks. Every other account of BH i have heard they’re uncomfortable but not painful?? These are random pains coming quite irregularly but frequently. Nothing seems to be helping to take it away like position changes etc. Warm baths hot water bottles. Im sure they're not contractions. Does anyone else have anything like this? I’m not sure how much longer I’ll be able to cope. This is my first baby and I don’t really have a clue. I’m hoping this will go away and I won’t have this for the next 6 weeks 😥😩 I would appreciate to hear from anyone experiencing similar, I feel like if I’m in such pain now how on earth will I cope with labour 😩

Have you rang the hospital? I don't want to scare you but I have read that premature labour starts in the lower abdomen and doesn't feel the same as a term labour. I'm 34 weeks too but haven't experienced this pain and this is my 5th pregnancy. I'd get checked out
