Mostly I just want to whinge. At 12 weeks now. Baby is bouncy and seems to be growing well on scans but we aren’t telling anyone until we’ve had the results of the chromosome tests as I’m 41!
Booked the tests when I was ten weeks. There is a 7 day delay for results. At 7 days they phone and say there weren’t enough chromosomes in the blood so they have to redo it. Go go back and get another blood test done and now have to again wait 7 days.
It’s so frustrating. I have only 3 items of clothing I can wear that don’t instantly reveal the bump that is now definitely there and it’s torture waiting to hear if baby is ok.
Sonographer says baby looks good and he’s be surprised if there is a problem (which I’m clinging to right now) but this waiting is driving me nuts. First trimester is the worst with all the worry, sickness etc.
