So during the day I hadn't felt baby move at all. I'm 31 weeks now and rather than kicks I just feel her turning or moving but only with my had on my belly...anyway went in and hooked me up to the monitor her HR ranged from 139-165bpm after half an hour and came back and checked then left it on for an other half an hour. She said baby looks normal on the screen but I'll get a phone call tomorrow to go in for a scan for reassurance. Now I'm even more anxious 😭😭

Oh you poor thing. It sounds like all is good as they'd have kept you in if there was any doubt - could the scan be purely to put your mind at rest because you came across as so anxious?

ninebiscuits · 03/01/2019 01:44

I went in for non movement...all was ok, and I got called in for a scan the next day too... just think it's hospital procedure.

ruthieruthuk · 03/01/2019 01:47

Was this your first episode of reduced movements? Hospitals scan of more than one episode as its procedure where I am, don't worry, if there had been anything wrong they would of told u and kept you in x

Kellie137 · 03/01/2019 02:36

They absolutely would not have let you leave if they had the slightest concern anything was wrong. Don’t worry.

It's protocol at our hospital for everyone to have a scan after reduced movements. I've been in once at 30 weeks and went back next day for a scan. All was well so don't worry. If there was something wrong they wouldn't be waiting till the next day.

DannyWallace · 03/01/2019 08:27

The same thing has happened to me. Please don't be anxious.

It's the policy in most places to have an extra scan for reduced movements. As they don't think it's an emergency (as in, your baby's heart rate is healthy), they will just give you a routine appointment.

Please don't worry Thanks

Please try not to worry, I've been in and out all week with various monitoring issues and have had some very confusing readings on the monitor, when they haven't been entirely sure it's ok they've kept me in for several hours after the issue (including overnight) and been regularly called back in too..they wouldn't leave you if there was any concern.

I completely understand your worry though, it can be scary once you step away from the reassurance of the monitor. I hope you're able to relax a bit, some rest may help you feel a little better Flowers

Just back from having my scan and another hour on the monitor! Baby is looking good and weighing 4lb at only 31 weeks🙈🙈!!! Placentas right at the front so the sonographer has said it's probably cushioning the movements. I've to have a lazy day and just get in sync with baby and not worry but to go straight back if I'm concerned 😊

Great news! Flowers

ruthieruthuk · 03/01/2019 23:16

Brill news! My placenta was also at the front.. so it acted like a bean bag and took a lot of the impact of baby kicking, still right to check it our though if you were concerned x
