I assume I wet the bed! Never happened with DS and am mortified!

Guess I will be setting an alarm tomorrow to make me wake up and use the toilet!

Please tell me it’s happened to others as well?!

Not trying to cause alarm but are you sure it couldn't be your waters going?
(Disclaimer...I have no idea what it is like as mine never went until broken by midwife in late labour)

Last time they went while in labour in the hospital so I also have no idea what that looks like.

But it smells like wee to me!

I would really strongly suggest a trip to the hospital just to check your waters. If they have gone you need to be in hospital.

Mine went at 2am and I also thought it was pee (was sat on the loo at the time). When I got up and walked around more went .. in fact they were going in bursts for the hour it took us to get to the hospital.

Can it wait till morning? I have a sleeping 2 year old and no childcare! Hospital a 50 minute drive away.

I'd give the maternity unit a call and have a chat with one of the midwives about what to do...

Jaguarana · 30/12/2018 04:07

Waters don't smell like wee, more like wet straw. Go back to bed.

Pootlebug · 30/12/2018 04:08

I agree with call the maternity unit suggestion

Get up and have a walk around, swing your hips. If you lose more then get to hospital (and of course if you start with contractions), but if not and your bladder feels empty then get to the doctors/midwife in the morning. Flowers

PyongyangKipperbang · 30/12/2018 04:25

I should say that when your waters go it seems like a big wee but when you clench, it doesnt stop it or slow it down, so thats how you tell the difference.

PerspicaciaTick · 30/12/2018 04:27

If you put a pad on, not only will it catch any more leaks but you can take it to the MW tomorrow if necessary and they can do a swab test to see if it was your waters.

Passthepigs · 30/12/2018 08:19

Not had anymore at all and feel fine so I’m sure it was just a bladder accident!
