Hey so I had a miscarriage back in April this year and just found out I'm now pregnant again, I'm so scared that it will end in miscarriage again can anyone tell stories of having a miscarriage and going on to a healthy pregnancy ? :(

One day at a time! We suffered a MMC in June at 10+3, baby had stopped developing at 9+3. Awful time and it had taken 2.5 years to conceive. Fell pregnant again in September and am now 16+4 weeks. Everything seems to be going well so far.

It’s been scary at times and I still have wobbles every now and again. I freak over every cramp and twinge! Being pregnant after miscarriage is no picnic but with the right support, some positive thinking and plenty to keep you busy, you should be fine.

Fingers crossed for you.

Hi @Katiej1996. I’ve have four MCs in the last two years, my last in May this year. I currently have one DS4 and am now 29wks pregnant.

Pregnancy is a very different experience post miscarriage, the fear never really goes away - but with time and milestones it does become easier.

I know that feeling OP.

I had a miscarriage and then I had some bleeding in my second pregnancy but we are currently watching ceebies together now. Since then I’ve had another miscarriage but I’m pregnant again.

What you thought about having a private viability scan? I have just had one with baby bond and they were professional and supportive. Thy found twins, one viable the other not so they are going to rescan me for free in a couple of weeks.

I also suffered a miscarriage at 12 weeks back in April. I fell pregnant again in June and was utterly terrified for the first few weeks, almost convinced history would repeat itself.

I'm now 29 weeks pregnant with a healthy baby girl Smile Just take it one day at a time. Remember, this pregnancy is completely new and different from the one you sadly lost, and there is no reason why this one won't be successful. Flowers

@jackshouse what is a viability scan? I'm only four weeks so won't be able to have a scan for a few weeks yet :(

I had a MMC in April & a MC in Sept currently 11w but I'm very worried things have stopped so I have a scan at EPAU tomorrow.
I rang my GP one morn at 6w in a real mess as I thought I'd had another MC, she rang EPAU and they agreed to see me for a scan the next day then saw me 2 weeks later. I recommended speaking to your GP I appreciate you may have to wait 2 weeks to be seen at EPAU but it's worth touching base.

Viability or early scan is from
6 weeks but the later the better in term peace of mind the a miscarriage is less likely. They will look for a healthy sac, fetal pole and a strong heart beat.

It’s so worrying isn’t it...
I had a miscarriage with my first pregnancy and then bled in both my subsequent pregnancies but both went on to be healthy babies.
There’s no point saying don’t worry, as you can’t help but think about it, but just try to take each day as it comes.
Hoping for the best for you. Flowers

I had a miscarriage in March and I'm now nearly 34 weeks pregnant and feeling healthy. It's different for everyone but the odds are in your favour. With this pregnancy I was open to both outcomes and only fully relaxed after the 20 week scan. Best wishes to you. Xxx

'Open' was probably the wrong word but it was hard trying to bond with our child whilst not getting my hopes up.

I had a miscarriage in April too and am just under 20 weeks. The odds are great that you’ll be just fine 😊😊
