I thought they say there's no need to eat for two.
But I'm really hungry and I've already eaten twice today.
It's only 9am 😂

After my first trimester i am (and in previous pregnancies) RAVENOUS..
And only for carbs..

LordProfFekkoThePenguinPhD · 14/12/2018 09:09

Not for me but when I got hungry I really got HUNGRY!

DannyWallace · 14/12/2018 09:20

I'm 28 weeks. Now I'm past the sickness of the first trimester I am STARVING!! Seriously, I've never felt hunger like this in my life, and if I don't eat, I'm sick again!!
It's not easy, is it?? 😂

Pinky333777 · 14/12/2018 09:31

I feel sick and light headed if I don't eat every 4hrs.
I'm 20wks and all about the carbs today 😂
I had a cheese and onion roll at 5:30am then sausage, mash, veg and gravy at 7:30am.
I've just scoffed carrot sticks and hummus now. I wanted something more unhealthy though 😄

I did once vomit when I got soooo hungry. It was down the window of a very posh cafe and it was so early I didn’t look pregnant. Thankfully it wasn’t busy and they were very nice about it.

Pinky333777 · 14/12/2018 09:55

Oh no, bless you!

It was funny (afterwards). I probably looked hungover. I wasn’t really looking and felt myself heave - I turned to the wall and spewed up what looked like green jelly. As I looked up I realised it was a window (well there hasn’t need one there before).

Melamine · 14/12/2018 11:08

It has for me! Constantly starving!

Worieddd · 14/12/2018 11:16

Currently 30 weeks and I’m very very very hungry

Bitchfromhell · 14/12/2018 13:34

My consultant tells me that the not eating for two thing only applies to fat people. If you are of normal bmi you need to eat more to nourish yourself and your baby and to put on some fat reserves in case of famine and then for bf! True story.

Seniorschoolmum · 14/12/2018 13:43

I was starving until about 34 weeks and then there physically wasn’t space for any food. Smile

reeny19 · 14/12/2018 13:48

I’m almost 8weeks and constantly hungry, eating almost all the time and if not, thinking about what I can eat next! Been like it for about 2 weeks.

It’s very unlike me, I usually eat very little and hardly ever think about food. Shock

Nolagerformethanks · 14/12/2018 13:48

Surprisingly not! Although I have to have a little breakfast now (which I skipped before I was pregnant) or I feel light headed mid morning if anything though I'd sat im more off my food than wanting to eat more.

BuffyFan · 14/12/2018 14:04

I was ravenous in my second pregnancy - literally ate an extra meal every day. Should have realised it was twins...

Ragaroo · 14/12/2018 14:05

Im almost 20 weeks and suffering sickness all day, if I don't eat I throw up yellow stomach acid :( I can't remember what proper hunger feels like sobs

Graphista · 14/12/2018 15:22

Between morning sickness until about 16 weeks and then horrific heartburn, reflux and no bloody room for food in last trimester I'm glad I was hungry in the 2nd or I quite possibly could have faded away! (I was very slim before pregnancy, LOST weight in first trimester and then any weight I did have was baby & boobs!)

Ragaroo what have you tried already? Thing to remember is you will not always feel like this, even IF it lasts all pregnancy the pregnancy ends. But maybe we can help you find a remedy?

TickleMeEmo · 14/12/2018 15:25

Constantly having to eat little and often... don’t eat enough - get dizzy and moody
eat too much - awful indigestion and heartburn 😐

bassackwards · 14/12/2018 18:11

I was absolutely starving throughout my pregnancy and ate enormous meals as well as lots of fruit, which I'm not normally too keen on. The hunger continued long after I gave birth until I stopped breastfeeding.

Pinky333777 · 14/12/2018 21:09

Oh the bf hunger and thirst is something else!
I ate a balanced diet but also so much cake! 😂

My oh said he thinks I have a problem with food because I eat every 3-4hrs.
Personally I feel that's normal for a pregnant woman.

First trimester= starving at all times. Second = eating normally. I’m now just in the third and hunger has ramped up at night in the last week. I seem to need a snack around 9.30-10 and a few nights I’ve woken up hungry at 3am.

piglet81 · 14/12/2018 21:31

I ate sooooo much when pregnant and breastfeeding. It was brilliant Grin

Wingingeverything · 15/12/2018 07:23

I was hungry from about 15 weeks onwards when my morning sickness stopped, my little one is now 6 weeks old and I still havnt stopped eating 😄

Stormwhale · 15/12/2018 07:35

I'm 15 weeks and bloody starving. I have breakfast, then second breakfast, then I'm hungry for lunch by 11.30am, then I need something before the school run, then a big dinner and sometimes a snack before bed. Ravenous I tell you!

Littlefrog99 · 15/12/2018 07:51

Oh the hunger! I'm 20wks and the ravenous hunger is only just starting to subside. From around 4wks I wasn't just hungry, I was absolutely rampant where food was concerned. Going 3-4 hours without food would have been a good day for me! I haven't put on much weight either. I was the same in my 1st pregnancy and gained 2 stone so I'm expecting similar again this time.

Enjoy your food and your pregnancy.

StargazyDrifter · 15/12/2018 11:47

I'm 10 weeks and have recently been super hungry. It's a strange pattern: permanent nausea, then super loud tummy gurgling turns up and also hunger, I eat (well) even though I feel a bit sick, feel better for about 30 minutes then the gurgling and hunger return so I eat some more, more nausea. Repeat every 3 hours. 😓
