First time poster so apologies if I get some protocol wrong!
Found out 2 weeks ago I'm pregnant with my first child. But since conceiving, I've been in terrible pain.
It's like period pains but super ramped up! Husband has been wonderful and extremely supportive.

I ended up in hospital on Friday for observations. Had an internal scan and egg sack is where it needs to be, so no indication of early miscarriage. My mum and sister have both suffered miscarriages in the past (mum had several before she had me - sadly she passed away 5 years ago so I can't talk to her about this) so it's been on my mind.

I know it's early days, but it does get better, doesn't it? I've been stuck in bed with a hot water bottle clinging to me and I just feel like crap!

You havent mentioned painkillers so just wanted to say take paracetamol. I remember with dd1 feeling uncomfotable in early weeks, sufficient to be checked for ectopic. Then one day something moved and all fine from then. In my mind it was my fallopian tube being pulled until it twanged back into position but of course have no evidence for that!

@Carlyisamum. I had really horrible period like pains for the first few weeks of early pregnancy. So much so that they had me doubled over and unable to move. Midwife said it was just stretching to make room for all that was to come.

The pain subsided after a short while and now I’m 30 weeks with only the occasional twinge x
