Carrycot help- mattress, stands, blankets...

We have bought the Bugaboo Bee 5 and are waiting for some parts to be delivered. I got the carrycot base yesterday. I was hoping to use the carrycot as somewhere for the baby to sleep during the day- does anyone know if I need to get an extra mattress to go into it, or is the base comfy enough? Also what do you do in terms of bedding- will it need a base sheet?

Are there suitable stands I can get for this so the carrycot isn't just on the floor or the buggy chassis? I know you can get them for Moses baskets but will I need one specially made for the Bee 5?

Just use it on the pram frame. That way its easier to put baby down for a nap and then just leave the house if they are still napping. Same when you come home, if they are still asleep you can just wheel them indoors

The only thing with that is that the Oram wheels will be wet and dirty from being outside so didn't really want to have it on the carpets.

Do you know if a separate mattress is needed for the carrycot?

We have the bee 5 and it’s quite padded the carrycot ... I don’t think there would be space for the baby if you padded it out more actually it’s quite compact. I don’t think there is a base for it, could you not have it on the floor?
