Drinking before I found out I was pregnant

I'm currently 17 weeks pregnant. I didn't find out until I was 12 weeks- very irregular periods. When I was 10 weeks I was at a wedding and got really drunk. I had a lot of wine and some shots. My 13 week scan was fine but I still can't help fretting. I seem to get horror stories anytime I google. Has anyone been in a similar situation?

Please don't worry and don't google.
How many children do you think have been conceived with the help of alcohol?
The NHS guidelines are very strict and are aimed at scaring people who don't understand the concept of what a unit is. In my view the guidelines simply cause people to panic unnecessarily that they have harmed their baby, when in fact you have to drink A LOT to do that.

Thanks for that you're likely right, hope so anyhow 😊.

I didn't find out till 10
Weeks with my eldest, I was only 20 and had had some very boozy weekends!! When I found out I just made sure I did everything right, ate really healthily etc. He's just passed all GCSEs and it for and well. Try not to worry and congratulations Smile

Please don't worry. As previous poster said the scaremongering guidelines are aimed at people incapable of following sensible rules. (And frankly those people won't pay any attention anyway.) The odd drink (or drunken night) will not harm your baby. (Neither will cheese or shellfish!)

My cousin didn't find out til she was 5 months gone! (She was a size 8 until she was 7 months, always irregular, no other symptoms)
And she worked in the city with lots of boozy lunches and after work drinks.
And while she wasn't a party animal that's more than is recommended, so she panicked as well.
He's top sets for GCSE now.
