Sorry for keep posting I’m very anxious due to a MMC before this pregnancy.

I am 13+4 and the last 4/5 days if I most I get the worst pain in my low left stomach.. it feels like I am straining a muscle or something simular, is this normal? I don’t want to call the hospital or midwife if it’s normal 🙈 Has anyone else had the same? Any words/advise would be amazing

No other pains no crampiness no bleeding etc

Hi :) sorry to hear about your mmc your bound to be extra anxious.
I found I got really weird pains til about 20 weeks and everyone kept telling me it was stretching pains. Everything inside you is expanding. Keep an eye out for other symptoms and if in doubt get checked over it won’t do any harm x

I had this all the time after 20wks. I went to the midwife and she suggested I had Symphysis pubis dysfunction and referred me for physio, I was on the waiting list so long my baby 9months before I was contacted.Hmm

If you are concerned and the pain is really bad please call the midwife. You should have a pregnancy book by now and had a scan confirming all is well, the contact details will be on the book somewhere.

Most likely baby is growing and your uterus is being stretched and it hurts like growing pains or a bad cramp. Try not to worry and get it checked out to be sure.

Could be early round ligament pain. It can be very sharp.

Emmak789 · 01/12/2018 18:22

Also my pregnancies played havoc with my digestive system, I ate nothing but potatoes because of chronic morning sickness so if your diet has changed that could be another cause.

Thank you so much for all of your responses! If anything changes other symptoms or things get worse I’ll contact the midwife but the pain is only there if I move quickly or Sit in a certain position or stretch so I’m guessing it’s all normal! Fingers crossed.

@Kayleigh121 yeah I had this quite sore at the beginning for a few months it did concern me but must have been the round ligament pain. Coughing or sneezing in bed or suddenly getting up in bed was horrendously sore. I'm 23 weeks now and haven't had it for the past 4/5 weeks now.

Iswallowtoothpaste · 01/12/2018 20:13

@Kayleigh121 it’ll be round ligament pain. It can really take your breath away at times!

You don’t always have to twist, stretch, cough or sneeze to experience it either. I can just throw away to itself every so often. Then there’s the stitch like pain in your lower abdomen (I always get it on the left side) I used to get it with DD when myself and OH were, ahem, having a good time but only when I was on top . . . . Sorry, that’s TMI.

*It can just throb away to itself every so often.

@Iswallowtoothpaste I am exactly the same. I think the previous mmc is just playing on my mind and because I don’t have many symptoms at the moment I’m worrying even more! I saw your post I hope you’re feeling ok today!x

I get this too, if i stand up too quickly or cough / sneeze when laying down! Think its round ligament pain

Kayleigh121 · 04/12/2018 12:28

I’m just a massive worrier 🤦🏼‍♀️ I’m sure everything is fine and it’s all normal I’m just blessed that I have got further than my last pregnancy 😊.

Good luck everyone and thank you all for your replies!x
