5 weeks and worrying

Hello all,

This will be my 2nd post. Im new to all this. Im just barely 5 weeks pregnant with my first baby and am constantly worried something is going to go wrong.

I feel like I am obsessing about it, so much so that it will cause something to happen? I sometimes dont even feel pregnant (which causes me to worry in itself) - dispite having 3 positives tests (see obsessive!).

From the day I found out I am pregnant i have sleepless nights. During the day I keep worrying over silly things...am i walking too fast, am i sitting right, am i doing something that might hurt the baby...its making me mad.

Im just wondering if its normal to feel this panicky at just 5 weeks? I cant believe I still have another 3 weeks till I get a scan, how will I cope? haha

Wishing you all luck and love with your pregnancies!

Sush xx

Hey cheechymunchy , I'm doing well today. yesterday I was just worrying too much about not feeling pregnant. But today I feel much better and happy. My DH emailed me at work a link from baby centre - 50 reasons to be glad you are pregnant. after reading that I feel good. Am going to make sure I enjoy this time and be happy. How abt u? u still off breakfast?

I cant wait till sunday cos i will be finishing 6 weeks on sunday. until my pregnancy i was counting time in months and years and now i am counting weeks. funny isnt it?

I've just had a nightmare 24 hours with DS. Threw up in bed three times last night, the last one at 3am (ouch). He was fine today until 3.30pm when tears appeared in his eyes, he whispered "mummy" then threw up all over me and cream carpet. Little Bear (nickname) is in bed with a fever now and I hope he's OK. Got all this to come, eh?
God, that sounds patronising, sorry.
Hey, six weeks on Sunday. Brilliant. Halfway through the cautious period, then you can really relax and enjoy yourself and all the changes.
Still struggling a bit with the brekkie, but being up most of last night probably didn't help. My husband is back tomorrow after 3 weeks away. The first time I've seen him since I told him we're having another baby! Can't wait!! Hopefully Finlay (DS) will be feeling better then. Tomorrow is his last day in nursery but it looks like he's not going in for that.
Ah, can hear Finlay yawning and talking quietly to himself in cot. Must check he's OK.

Sush, it got worse. I couldn't get DS's temperature down on Thurs/Fri and took him to the doctors as he had a bad rash. I noticed some spots that we'ren't going when pressed so he was whisked off by ambulance to the children's hospital for test and observation - just so they could rule out the dreaded meningitis. Thank god it wasn't in the end, just a rather nasty virus, but he's still not eating very well and his body is still red. I'm told it will take a couple more days to fade.
I'm exhausted.
How you doing? Any more signs of pregnancy? My boobs are beginning to hurt a bit more!

Hey cheechymunchy , sounds like u have been through a pretty stressful time. Thankfully it just a virus and nothing serious. Hope he (DS)feels better soon.

No i dont have any signs yet. I cant wait till my 1st scan. I just want to make sure everythings alright. its still weeks away. anyways i hope DS gets well soon.

take care .
