Pregnant after natural IUI

Hello,

This is my first time posting so please bear with me. We (me and my wife) started to try fertility treatment a while back and had to go for natural IUI first instead of IVF/medicated IUI. We tried 3 times but all of them didn't work. For the 4th IUI we chose another donor and used the HCG trigger without any other medication and on Saturday (14 days past IUI and 16 days past trigger) I got a BFP. Naturally, I did another test on Sunday and Monday to be sure and they were all positive as well. I called the hospital (Kings College) and they booked me in for a scan on 11 Dec.

I am freaking out a little bit because I am so scared at the moment of something going wrong but was wondering if there are any other people here who can share a positive experience with IUI and what I can expect from the scan that early on.

Thank you!

Once it's in there it's going to be like any other pregnancy as far as I understand it!
you would still be early - 4 weeks at the scan?
So all you would be able to see is a yolk sac and fetal pole possibly. No heart beat at that early on or anything shaped like a baby.
But it's still all very exciting!
Take joy in the moment that you are pregnant and don't dwell on the what if's and could be's. Congratulations mamas!
