I miscarried in July in week 15. In week 12 on mt first scan i found out baby has stopped growing in week 5. I didnt have medical no intervention. It was hard but i recovered. I was told it's unlikely to happen again.
In October i was 11 days late and did a test- negative. 3 days after i did again another test and to my surprise it was positive. I went for a scan 17 days after the positive test and they saw only sac and yolk. They asked me to go back 7 days after this and i went last Friday. I was so anxious but the doctor said good news- she saw flicking - heartbeat 111 bpm and growth. She said i might have had very late ovulation (my periods after the miscarriage lasted 10-12 days). She said it was 6 weeks and 4 days .
Yesterday i went to see if there is progress (privately) and they said no heartbeat and no growth. I wasn't expecting this really. I was so hopeful after the good news last week :(.....
Now i need to go on Monday back to UCLH where i had the previous scans and seek help... I am so confused why they don't want to grow....?????

My first two pregnancies were both missed miscarriages. Now I’m 24 weeks into the third pregnancy with a healthy baby.

After the second miscarriage I was devastated and convinced there was something wrong with me - consultant said it was most likely just to be random bad luck with 2, and I really struggled to believe that. But it seems like he was right! And there are loads of other women who go on to have normal pregnancies after two, three or more miscarriages. Hoping for better luck for you next time xx

I'm so very sorry for your losses Flowers. I've been there too and I did get to have two children, just with the heartache of going through lots of miscarriages as well.

Unfortunately referrals aren't made to specialist services on the NHS until after 3 consecutive mcs. It would be worth seeing your GP and getting your thyroid checked as this can be a factor.

I hope you're taking it easy and getting good support at home.

Thank you for the reassurance and replying to me. It means a lot to have a conversation with women who has been through what I'm experiencing currently xx
