Round ligament pain at 18 weeks

Can anyone help me. I posted before about the pains I’m having in my stomach and I’ve wondered if it is round ligament pain. It is on the right hand side about a inch from my belly button. It feels like a quick stab/pull/shock. Sometimes it’s enough to completely floor me. Does anyone have any experience because I’m losing my mind with the lack of advise from healthcare!

Yes I’ve had similar. If I sneeze it feels like I’m being stabbed is the stomach!

I am 18 weeks today and have the same thing, except round both sides of my belly, although worse in right side. Comes as sharp stabbing pains that don’t last too long. Not very pleasant! Gets worse if I do too much activity wise.

17+3, it's horrible and I have to be so careful how I get up or I'm bent double in pain. I'm finding it quite bad down by my groin.

I had the same symptoms as you OP and was always put down to round ligament pain until my obstetrician has just scanned me (am 31 weeks with placenta previa) and found a 10cm Fibroid right at the place I've been in agony since early doors (the stabbing pain was apparently due to red degeneration).

I worry that obs aren't checking this one out more regularly - maybe have an ask about fibroids at your next appointment/scan and explain your symptoms - there so similar - Hope your okay xx

I could’ve posted this myself!!!
Mine are accompanied by constant pain along the bottom of my abdomen, where my “crease” is so I’m trying so hard not to panic and just go with “it’s round ligament pain”
I’m 15+6 today and it only started on Saturday xx

I’ve been told my is still round ligament pain. A week on and I’m still getting the pains at completely random times during the day!

I'm only 10 weeks but I've had all types of pain you can think of. Just a lot of stretching according to my doctor.

vicki6356 · 12/11/2018 17:04

Mine is definitely not stretching. I find it really frustrating that the professionals don’t listen to me. I don’t know what it is that is wrong but it’s bloody painful lol

At your 20 week scan OP tell them about it and ask them to have a proper look if there's anything causing it - especially as you can pin point exactly where it is?

vicki6356 · 12/11/2018 19:21

Brilliant idea. I’ll defo be doing that because it’s driving me mad lol.

Hello ladies. I know it's an old topic but perhaps someone will reply.
I spent all day in an emergency pregnancy unit with this type of pain.
It's so bad I can't even stretch and walk sometimes. They checked my blood, urine, baby's heartbeat and everything was fine. Midwife said it's a round ligament pain but I am still worried 😩 I have it since yesterday morning. Can it really be so severe? Was everything fine with your pregnancies even with this type of pain?
Thank you in advance 🙏
