Snoring in pregnancy - going mad!

Going mad! Second pregnancy, 27 weeks, and I'm snoring so badly it's waking me (and husband!) up maybe 6-10 times a night. And then when I wake up I'm having to pee and sometimes getting back to sleep and sometimes not. Anyone had this? Managed to do anything about it? I've got a doctors appointment but they can't fit me in for another couple of weeks and I'm exhausted!

Yes I'm going through this atm, it's really bad. I feel like iv got slug like mucus as well stuck at back of nose/throat.. grim. Iv got an extra pillow and sleeping slightly more upright- it's not great as I'm sleeping on my side but it is helping a bit with the snoring. I also drink about two pints of water through the night as my throat gets so dry.. which doesn't help with the wee situation- I'm sure I'll get more sleep once the baby is here haha!

I'm 25 weeks btw xx

I use extra pillows to sit me up a bit more and use a nose spray just before bed to help clear my nose. It helps me the majority of the time and keeps my husband talking to me haha

I was exactly the same when I was pregnant. I swear had I not been carrying his child, DH would have throttled me
I tried everything, nothing worked! Although as soon as I had DS, I seemed to immediately stop so hopefully you don't have to suffer with it for much longer

Thanks - DH is often moving to a different room now! For me it's the constant sleep interruptions that are a problem, I'm feeling exhausted. Don't really remember having this for my first.

@Withington I’m exactly the same. I have tried so many things and nothing helps! The pharmacist advised a nasal spray that seems to make me feel less congested but still snoring to the Max. I think my husband is ready to smother me 😂🤦🏼‍♀️. It will all be worth it in the end though! Maybe try ear plugs for yourself if you can sleep with them in!

My OH has said ive started to snore completely different to how I used to. It's more a high pitched squeel now rather than a droney standard snore. I've also been talking a lot in my sleep too. We find we both wake up around the same time and it's a good 5 times on average in the night and he says it's me snoring/squeeling. He's tolerating it at the moment but it won't be long before it becomes an issue. We are going pillow shopping this week to see if being propped up a little bit helps.

Yes and sometimes I wake up gasping for air. I looked up symptoms and came up with sleep apnea. Went to see dr as was worried and dr was very dismissive and basically said I don't have sleep apnea. Anyway I bought a mouth/gum shield called snoreeze from boots for a hefty £40. Seems to have helped the snoring and I don't wake up gasping for air so it must be doing something!
