So ladies I'm 22 weeks. Have a low lying posterior placenta. Don't know whether that makes any difference. But ive just come off a 13 hour night shift. Im a support worker so spend the night looking after young people with disabilities and cleaning the home. For some reason since about 4 this morning I've been having a lot of pains. The only way I can describe the pain is like I've been riding a horse and everything I move or walk all the insides of my legs a bum are aching. Really hurts the. Feels like I'm really stiff. Just wondered if anyone else gets this? X

No, never had that, sorry. You could ask your midwife?

I am also 22 weeks and have general aches and pains when I’ve been on my feet all day, muscle pain and sometimes stretchy pain on my bump.

If you’re concerned I would speak to a midwife

Is it pain in the pelvis? If it is this will be especially painful if you have an active job. Your midwife will probably refer you to physio. I've never ridden a horse so I don't know what that feels like. I'm suffering from pelvic pain and it does make your joints feel stiff and painful. Try a hot water bottle for now.

I will warn you though that the NHS physio was useless for me. It wasn't even an examination. It was a classroom education session with other patients where they just tell you how the pelvis works and give you a sheet of exercises to do.

I have been lucky where my work provide health insurance where I've been able to get private physio which has helped.

Also try warm baths too, that helps to ease the pain sometimes.
