5 Weeks 2 days pregnant

Hi Ladies,
I am just looking for any advice please. We have just finished our first round of IVF and for the first time in my life I got to see a positive reading last week. However for the last 7 days I have had daily spotting (mainly brown) and cramping during the day, every day! It starts at around lunchtime and continues until I get home about 6pm. It only seems to ease once at home with my feet up. This is for both the cramping and spotting. I have had blood tests this morning as my IVF first scan date isn't until 25/10 so I am of course hoping to see my HCG levels increase tomorrow but am extremely worried and wondered if anyone else has experienced similar? FYI my HCG levels last week were on track at 139.50 (4 weeks)

With my third baby I had brown spotting from about week 5-6, it was really scary but it ended up fine. The midwife thought it could have been implantation bleeding that took a while to come out. I’ve had cramping early on with all 4 pregnancies I think it’s fairly normal. Good luck x

I'm pregnant through ivf. When they did my bloods to test for pregnancy (protocol at my clinic), the nurse was surprised I hadn't had any blood/spotting as she said it's incredibly common in ivf pregnancies - more so than in 'natural' pregnancies.

Chin up. It's worrying times, but you're still in with a shout!! At least that's how I've been trying to see it. There are no guarantees in fertility (as we both well know) and you're further ahead than you have been before - that HAS to be a good thing, no matter how things turn out!!

Oh and I had such bad cramps early on they would wake me up!!!

Thanks so much to you both. I think it’s finally taken me down today as I’ve been putting up with it for a week. I might relax tomorrow when I get my results back and I can see if they’re ok...xx
