Growth slowing at 35 weeks...

I'm 36 weeks pregnant with my first. A scan at 35 weeks showed high PI (flow through the umbilical cord) above the 95th centile and baby's growth has tailed off a bit.

I'm booked in for lots of dopplers and extra monitoring with another growth scan at 37 weeks.

Really worried and desperate not to end up having an induction or cesarean (I have a real phobia of medical intervention to the point that I have panic attacks which are not very well controlled - anxiety issues etc due to a traumatic birth my mum had which resulted in my brother having severe developmental issues). If I have to have either of course I will but I'm not coping well with the prospects at the moment.

Has anyone experienced similar?

My DD's growth rate did drop towards the end but as placenta, cord etc were fine I actually ended up having her 8 days over.

Have you spoken to anyone about your anxiety about intervention, it will probably help if you can talk through your concerns.

@Bluebelltulip I've tried but it keeps getting dismissed as normal pregnancy related anxiety. It's not, and I haven't been pushy enough with getting it treated. It is hard sometimes...

Glad everything was ok for you. Fingers crossed everything is ok here too!
