I just wondered whether anyone had been to one of these and what to expect

It’s 10-12 which seems quite long but not sure whether there will be demos for the whole time or whether it’s more or just look around and ask questions / speak to people 1:2:1 type thing

That will also have a bearing on whether we aim to arrive by 10 or maybe later on, say, 11...

I've not been to a mamas and papas one but I've been to a mothercare one.
Same sort of thing and 10-12. We got there at 10 and they had already started the talks and all the seats were gone! So if I went to another, I'd aim for 9.45. Plus we were only there for about an hour. It depends on how much shopping/browsing you want to do or if you have any questions you want to ask.

We went and tbf were a bit late but DH and I were annoyed at all the men sitting down while pregnant women were standing around them 🙄

It was similar at the mothercare one! I went with my pregnant friend. Was it a good event?

It was ok. There was a talk about sleeping items which wasn’t much use. There was a first aid talk which probably would have been good but we missed that. One of the ladies showed us one of the prams and car seats and that was helpful but presumably you could go in any time and get that.

But I am planning to go to a mother to be beauty event there tomorrow with my pregnant friend

I went to one, I found it useful and there was snacks and a goody bag with a babygro and some other items

Oh, I've never heard of a mother to be beauty event!
I did a first aid course with St. John's ambulance which included a small segment of baby / child first aid which was useful. I'm sure you can send off for a free guide from the website.

I saw it pop up on Facebook I think. So I booked on to both as they are both af Mamas and Papas. I think it’s in partnership with Clarins.
