Hi everyone, so me and hubby are trying for a baby, not even pregnant yet and im getting so anxious about giving birth! Is this normal? Sound crazy but is there a chance i could die?!?!

I mean technically yes because with anything medical there's a chance, however small that you could die but it's unlikely. You're monitored throughout pregnancy and if any complications were known of, accommodations would be made and obviously, if something happens during labour you're (most likely) in a hospital which is the best place to be.

I suppose the only thing to say is to try and think about how many women go through labour everyday and how many babies are born. The odds of everything going well are in your favour.

It's pretty normal if you’re tokophobic. Also pretty normal if you like being in control of things, birth being generally a bit uncontrollable. I wouldn’t worry too much yet, see how you feel if and when you get pregnant?
