To tell friend or not?

Looking for advice, first time poster. I was planning on meeting up with one of my best girlfriends tonight and was going to let her in on the big news that I’m 3months pregnant, as I’ve kept it quiet so far. She’s just had to cancel as she’s been in a&e and found out as a shock she’s 4wks pregnant. She’s in a comfortable situation just hadn’t got it in her game plan till next year or so. Should I just stay shtum now as she’s in a bit of shock and offer sympathy or would it be a good idea to go ahead with saying that I’m in the same boat, to offer some empathy and solace?

I'm sure she would be happy to hear your news and it may make her feel better that she's got somebody to talk to that is experiencing all of the pregnancy symptoms and knows how she is feeling. I don't really know any other pregnant ladies but it would be nice to talk to somebody that is feeling the same as me.

I'd tell her- it would be weird not. I presume this message is too late though! Did you? How did it go?
