I have really bad nausea and was prescribed Cyclizine. I take three a day but still feel nauseous especially in the evening.

I want to try something. God anyone try anything different and more effective for pregnancy nausea? I don't vomit unless I brush my teeth.

There are many other sntiemetcs out there, but doctors like to start with Cyclizine as it’s cheap!

Stemetil got me back to work in my first pregnancy. Avomine made me worse. Ondanestrin helped too. The bear def for nausea was IV Cyclizine, but obviously you have to be in hospital for that. My friend took Phenergan.

I am a HG sufferer and was on ordansatron, metoclopramide and cyclazine.. each 3 times a day. While it help reduce the amount of times I was actually vomiting ( 36 times in one day was my record) they never stopped the nausea feeling.

It might be worth asking for ordansatron as it was the one I found to be the most effective but be sure you're taking a teaspoon of lactulose a day with it as it does have terrible constipation side effects.

Hope you can find some relief soon .. and god help anyone who suggests bloody ginger Angry

Ondansetron def. Ask for the ondansetron melt - it dissolves under your tongue and works quickly,

Yes it does bung you up!

Not sure what was going on in the first line if my previous post. That weird jumble of words is meant to say “antiemetics”.

I had HG and tried cyclizine, stemetil and ondansetron. Unfortnately none of it helped the nausea for me at all although ondansetron did reduce the frequency of vomiting. Might be worth a try but I think for most people with HG medication helps reduce vomiting but tends not to improve nausa I'm afraid.

I've been given stemetil and am feeling better than I was. I still have nausea but much less so. Still can't eat properly and smells will of course make me nauseous, but much better if I take two three times a day.
