Hi

Second pregnancy here - can't quite remember my first as was 4 years ago!
I'm currently 5wks 6days (I think.. not 100% as I fell pregnant before I could have a period after having my Mirena removed!!).. for the last couple of weeks I've been getting really bad cramps.. keep thinking my period is going to turn up every day!
Then the shoulder pain started... right on the tip.. maybe it's because I've started sleeping in my left side?? Not sure..
I've also been really bloated and feeling 'full'.

I've googled all the symptoms and it points to ectopic... but I thought I'd be in more pain if it was ectopic..

I keep getting the feeling something is wrong..
I feel like I'll be wasting time if I ring up the EPU..

Anyone have any ideas what it could be? Or should I just put my big girl pants on and phone the EPU?

Sorry for the long post!! X

Just phone them or turn up at A&E. They won't mind if it's a false alarm so much better to be safe than sorry. Good luck

I'd go to A&E tbh. Why would it be wasting their time?

Hope all is ok.

Please get this checked out. I had a ruptured ectopic at 12 weeks and nearly lost my life and for six weeks I was in a blur of slow burning pain with bleeding which came on about 7 weeks. It started with a dull ache in my left shoulder and got more and more painful as the weeks went on.
Please get yourself checked out at the early pregnancy unit.

Cramps are very common in early pregnancy but if you are worried get referred to EPU to be checked out - it’s exactly what they are there for so they won’t mind!

I had quite sharp right sided pain and some bleeding in early pregnancy, EPU saw me and scanned me at 5+6 and found an intrauterine pregnancy so were able to put my mind at rest about an ectopic.
