Pregnant or not?

Hey guys I'm new to this site, so I hope this is the right place.

Basically I've had regular periods and a few negative periods but I've also had symptoms which I think indicate a pregnancy.

  • I have been getting much more emotional
  • I have stomach bloating
-and on the inside of one of my breasts I have a burning feeling, always in the same location.

If its not pregnancy what could this be?

I would be grateful for any advice x

p.s I would prefer not to be pregnant but if I was it wouldn't be the end of the world

There are about a dozen things it could be, including plain ordinary PMT. If you are getting negative tests the chances are very low that you are pregnant, especially if you also haven't missed a period. When is your period actually due?

well I'm late, but only because I got the implant fitted a few weeks ago, but they did pregnancy test and it was negative, but I had a feeling I could be pregnant from before Nexplanon. tbh this late pregnany I'm putting down to the implant and not pregnancy because of the tests

The symptoms are probably due to the implant settling in then. If you thought you might have been pregnant from before the implant it would be showing up on tests by now.

It's not completely impossible that you're pregnant. If you've had penetrative sex at any time in the past ten months you could be pregnant. But based on what you've said it's extremely unlikely and probably just the effect of the implant on your hormones.

Also bouts of nausea and more white lumps in my brests

I'm sorry if this isn't the case but are you the poster who has posted several very similar threads about a very similar sounding situation under a different name?

If so, please go back to your doctor and speak to them about your anxiety about this. There is nothing anyone can say here that will put your mind at rest.

@sunshine I’m a bit confused as this is my first time posting...I’ve not posted on here before ??

Pups4000 - your posts are very similar to crl200 who has posted several times about the same concern and is suffering from severe anxiety

CountessVonBoobs · 09/09/2018 19:06

Well, what can we tell you that a test can't? If you are really concerned, go to your doctor and request an HCG blood test, but you' have negative tests and you've just had a rod of artificial pregnancy hormones inserted in your arm, which easily accounts for your symptoms. Hormonal contraception (broadly speaking) works by fooling the body into thinking you're already pregnant so you don't ovulate.

You’re not pregnant, and you won’t get a different answer no matter how many times you post here. Please go back to your doctor and talk about your anxiety - this is not good for you.

Very confused at these messages I’m not sure but I think I’ve been confused with another user!? I also have itchy brests, just looking for reasonable answers please

A reasonable answer: you've just had the implant put in. The implant is full of hormones your body is getting used to having that it isn't used to having - hence feeling weird. This can (and often does) happen with every form of hormonal contraceptive...
