Sorry to post pic.
Does this look like normal discharge? It has been v yellowy since I have been pregnant, not sure if this seems darker but there is v little.
What do you think? I'm 40 weeks.

Have you lost your mucus plug yet?
That can be dark or blood stained

it's hard to say; unbeknownst to me, my water's had broke and I had meconium in them at 37+5

I just remember looking down the loo and thinking 'that wee's a funny colour' - it was like greenish. Something kept niggling all day and a friend suggested calling midwife. The community midwife came, examined me and said my water's had gone, get your bag and get to hospital. That was 4pm on a Friday.

DD just had her 10th b'day but I can remember that day like it was yesterday!

hungry nope, damn thing seems intent on staying in (unless it has come out vvvv gradually!)

wittow thats good to know!
It is odd because you think you will just 'know' but you don't. I had a xoil before i was pregnant and hadn't had a period for 5 years. I have forgotten what discharge on a bright white pad is supposed to look like!

Not a medical person of course! But personally that doesn't look like meconium in waters to me. However if you are st all concerned then call your midwife/head in to get seen. They have a special dippy paper test thing where they can say if it's waters or not. Or at least they did at my hospital.
Best of luck with the rest of the pregnancy!

surreygirl1987 · 09/09/2018 17:45

That looks just like the discharge I'm currently experiencing at 37 weeks. @Grimble I am intrigued by that test... I've been worrying for a few weeks that my waters are trickling (constant pale yellow discharge on pads) but she told me there's no test to determine this other than something not dissimilar to a smear test! Hmm

CountessVonBoobs · 09/09/2018 17:49

That just looks like normal discharge to me rather than waters or meconium. By all means speak to a midwife if you're concerned but I don't see anything there that would worry me.

Thanks everyone.

Anybody care to tell me how to get this baby out?!

WIth dd2 I had green discharge. I thought it was normal! She was born 10 hours later with meconium in the waters. If it is green and continues I'd get it checked.

Go for a drive, quickly over speed bumps. That worked with her!

Yes I’ve been wearing Tena ladies thin ones for a month as worried when I sneeze etc that I mite pee a bit etc but I always have a bit of discharge like this everyday on the pad and read that it’s pretty normal. I’m 31 weeks 4 days

chloechloe · 09/09/2018 19:49

It looks a bit green to me, I would get it checked out. With DD2 I was “leaking” colorless liquid for 3 days and was convinced it was my bladder. On the 3rd day I had a bigger gush which was a bit green. Turned out it was my waters. Best to get it checked as you’re at risk of infection if your waters are leaking.

Sarahani · 09/09/2018 20:09

I would call the midwives to ask

wolfywolfy · 09/09/2018 20:12

I would get it checked to be on the safe side
