Does a cold feel different when you are pregnant?

I'm 31 weeks pregnant and feel like I've been getting a cold since Friday. Scratchy throat, slight fever, tired, headachey. I know my body pretty well and have never had a cold take this long to materialise. I wish my body would just get on with it. I feel completely exhausted and like I've been hit by a car. Never felt this bad with a cold before and it hasn't even kicked in properly, yet... anyone find that when they were sick it was different/worse in pregnancy?

Sounds like normal pregnancy exhaustion and a simple cold. At the same time.

I think I got so used to feeling super fit and healthy in pregnancy and now I feel floored! Never had a fever for 3 days before with a cold. Moan moan moan!

I was so unwell whenever I got a cold when I was pregnant. It was because I couldn't use decongestants. I ended up on antibiotics a few times and after I gave birth I was referred about the sinus infections. It turned out one side of my face was completely blocked and I had to get an operation to drain. I've never had a sinus infection since (2 years+).
Do you usually use medication that you're unable to use just now?

@figelnarage yes I would usually take ibuprofen and it para together with decongestants. Would usually go for really long walks too for the fresh air!

Thanks Smile

If you have a temperature perhaps go to GP just Incase you have a bacterial sinus infection. That is apparently what I kept getting.

Hope you feel better soon.
