Pain in my bum

Hi all sorry for the tmi in advance!

36+6 today and for the last few days my anus has been really painful. It feels like I’ve pushed a massive poo out (which I haven’t) and now it’s really painful.

Google isn’t bringing anything up. Anyone know what it could be?

Piles?

ThorsMistress · 01/09/2018 18:22

I’ve never experienced piles. There’s no blood there when I wipe? Seeing midwife on Tuesday so will bring it up with her then. Just in so much pain 😔

Piles don’t necessarily bleed. They’re very sore though. It’s basically like a varicose vein in your bottom caused by the extra weight you’re carrying.

Try pile cream in the meantime? Your pharmacist will recommend a safe one. I had Anusol during pregnancy.

I had something similar when I was pregnant. It was called proctalgia fugax if I remember right. Felt like shooting stabbing pains up my bum, was soooo sore

Thank you. Will go get some cream tomorrow. It’s so painful 😔

Yes it's piles if you feel a bump.

Don't panic! Just don't strain, wear any tight clothing (thongs leggings etc) although I doubt you would be at this point.

Some prep H should take care of it in a day or so, if not, supplements are bloody brilliant - however, I'm not sure on the safety of using them while pregnant.

Good luck op! Thanks

Thank you! Popped loads of sudocrem on last night and it’s eased quite a bit. Although still quite painful. Going to the chemist today to get some cream!
