Hi ladies! I've not a regular on here but I didn't really know where else to go for advice and experiences.

So, from the 13-17th August, I experienced what I thought may have been IB. It was a light pink colour and appeared in small amounts randomly when when wiping (Sorry TMI) over that couple of days. I never noticed IB when I was pregnant with DD or either of my other pregnancies (which resulted in m/c at 15wks and 5wks). And I've never had ovulation bleeding or anything like that before, so i just figured that's what it may have been and decided to wait and see what happens.

Then last Saturday (18th), whilst at work I had this horrible metallic like copper taste in my mouth for at least two hours. It was awful. That's also something I have never experienced before.

As well as these, I have had headaches and fatigue on and off for a week or two (but I know these can well be PMS symptoms aswell. I have along irregular cycles (Usually 38-42 days). I use the Ovia app to help me track them, and according to that AF was due today. And she hasn't shown. I've also had the most irritating stuffy nose all day, and I'm going out of my mind not knowing. Desperate for #2!! My DD is 2yo.

I should add that I have tested using internet cheap tests yesterday and this morning, both FMU and both BFN :( Am i in for a chance? Has anyone experienced anything similar? I'm losing my mind right now haha.

The girls on the conception board might be in a better place to help you out.

However, while I’m here... :)

I’m not sure, is the short answer. If Ovia reckons that’s AF was due yesterday, that means you should have ovulated around 2 weeks ago.

If that’s the case, last weekend could have been IB, but that would have been quite early implantation. If it was IB, then you would be getting a positive test by now as it takes around 4 days for your hormone levels to rise enough for detection (if I remember correctly).

My best guess is that you just had an early, light period. It could have been OV bleeding, but when I had that it was literally a pin prick of pink in my CM. If it was OV bleeding, a test next week should give you a definite answer. If that’s still negative, I would count 13/8 as the first day of a new cycle.

Hope this helps
X

Hmm. If your period is now late, if you were pregnant then I would have thought that your tests would have been positive by now even on the internet cheapies. Unless of course you ovulated later than you thought and it’s still too early to test. On the day my period was due I used an internet cheapie and got a very faint line but a strong line on a First Response test. I would try one of those as they’re much more sensitive. Good luck x

Thank you for your replies ladies!

@Stephisaur Yes, you're probably right. The conception board probably would have been a better place to post this (I never even seen that on here until searching after reading your comment lol).
But you've made a lot of valid points in your reply. I never even considered an early period or anything like that, although I'm still pretty sure it wasn't that. I'm more irritated about not knowing now than anything, but thanks so much for all the advice.

And @Gobletoffire I actually went out and bought a FRER test this morning during my break at work, along with a 2 pack of Tesco tests. So if AF doesn't arrive overnight (which I doubt she will), I'll test using the First Response in the morning.

Fingers and toes crossed Smile
