I'm 26 weeks today and I just don't feel the baby moving very much.

This is my 4th pregnancy.

I feel like he moved more a few weeks ago and doesn't move as much anymore.

I don't no if to wait for my midwife appoitment on Tuesday or just to go in and get mointered today, i think i need an ultrasound to check everything is ok but i no they don't do them at the weekend.

I was the same at 26 weeks, also with my 4th. He/she just didn't seem to move much. Im now 34 weeks and he/she moves alot more although not as much as i remember my other babies moving. Ive been checked afew times and every thing is fine.

If you are worried at all go in to be monitored. The midwives really dont mind. Better to be safe than sorry.

Yes i think it is just him but it's worrying me. I may go and get mointered. He has been moving today but just not much in general. Hopefully he picks up like you little one has. X

Please do go and get it checked. If only for your peace of mind.

I was the same at 26 weeks. I didn’t get checked because they don’t advise you start counting kicks until 28 weeks now anyway. At 26 weeks they still had enough room to move around to an extent they can turn their back to you and hide.

I had a day or two where he seemed to go quiet then he picked up again. All is well and I’m now 29 weeks. Also my fourth.

I called Triage for advice on this topic around 26 weeks. I said although I didn’t have a clear pattern, I didn’t feel baby had moved so much that day. In the evening I’d drank a glass of ice cold water then had a lie down, and I felt baby move, albeit not as much as “usual”. The midwife said she was happy as I’d got a response to the iced water but that if things still didn’t feel right over the following few days I was to call back.

I’m now 30 weeks and baby moves a lot more now.

I called maternity assessment clinic today at 25w as I hadn't felt baby move since last night. They asked if I wanted to go in, and used the Doppler to listen to the heartbeat and checked urine and blood pressure etc.

The midwife said anytime after 24w you should go in if you're worried about movements.

Thanks everyone for your replies. Going to have a lay down when i get home and see how much he moves and go from there.

My waters broke at 27 weeks with my last baby and i had my son at 28 weeks, i think this is making me feel extra anxious this time. X

Please go in if you are worried, don’t wait to get checked. Have a look at the kicks count charity website Flowers

Are you ok OP?

LBNM19 · 20/08/2018 23:10

Yes I'm ok thank you. I haven't gone in as i don't think the movements have reduced but that he just that he doesn't move as much as my other babies did.

I've got a midwife appoitment tomorrow morning going to discuss this with her.

It's likely baby has just moved into a different position, but as everyone says, with any reduced movements it's better to go get it checked out.
